Barry Mills was one of the most feared leaders of the A***n Brotherhood, a prison gang responsible for decades of violence behind bars. Rising through the ranks in the 1970s and 80s, Mills became known for enforcing brutal discipline, ordering hits, and pushing the group into large-scale criminal operations including drug trafficking, extortion, and targeted killings inside federal prisons.

Mills played a major role in turning the AB into one of the most violent prison gangs in the country. Court records describe him as a driving force behind racial warfare inside the prison system and someone who encouraged violence to keep control. In 2006, he was one of the key defendants in a massive federal racketeering case that linked him to multiple murders and decades of gang-ordered attacks.

He died in federal custody in 2018, leaving behind a legacy marked by violence, power struggles, and some of the deadliest chapters in U.S. prison-gang history.
