✨Wow wowie wow. I was able to attend and help with Diversify’s Women’s event today, and was able to hear and learn from some of the COOLEST SMARTEST people, including Jordan 👏🏼 Page! 👏🏼
Here are my top 3 things I learned from her seminar:
1. CAPITALIZE on your STRENGTHS. Sounds weird huh? For a budgeting conference? But fo’real fo’real everyone, Jordan spoke to my SOUL with this. And honestly maybe not even in the words she said but in the principals she taught- CAPITALIZE on your strengths. Did you know we ALL have talents? Strengths? DIFFERENT talents and strengths?? That is how it is SUPPOSED to be. My strengths are different than yours, and that’s okay!!!
2. Budget in percentages! This isn’t a new new idea for me, but one that just CLICKED as she was teaching. I always refer to unexpected things as the “crap happens” budget. But guess what? Crap always happens! It’s what comes with being a PERSON and being ALIVE. And it’s okay! Budgeting with percentages helps to make budgeting feel more free and I cannot WAIT to use her ideas and help clients do the same.
3. Have multiple bank accounts to help organize your money. (Sound familiar my clients? 😉) I have always loved this idea and tell my clients to have at least three but Jordan blew my mind when she talked about having at least 7 BANK ACCOUNTS 😳 but as she explained it I was like.... okay....YES??? Think about things that get messy. We ORGANIZE them. Makes sense, can’t wait to try it!
I am FINALLY feeling better better, and will be taking more clients on so let’s chat- let’s kick debt to the curb- I am IN this with you! 💥

Guilty 🙈
Part of my program for budgeting includes “dancing in the end zone”
meaning CELEBRATING victories in your budget. It also reminds us that “just because we scored, doesn’t mean the game is over”.
We need to reward ourselves for doing well, but how do we know where to draw the line? I’ve learned that as we celebrate and enjoy life’s small things, like staying under grocery budget and getting dollar ice cream for the family or buying the yummiest popcorn instead of the cheapest to celebrate, you can keep to your budget AND “dance in the end zone.”
Being content with small victories like that can help general happiness in life.
Spend a lot of time saving for a trip? Enjoy the CRAP out of your trip and enjoy guilt free spending and enjoying. Money is a TOOL. Train yourself how to use it, and you’ll be 🙌🏼 ✨

SCHOOL’S OUT!!! Time for summer! 😍☀️ Did you know that if you go to boondocks, you can get bounce back passes for $10 a ticket?!?! Regularly $30 each! 😱
Have FUN this summer but make sure to be on the lookout for bounce back discounts and other good deals. 🤑

Did you know that by picking only a few name brand things when you shop, and getting off-brand for everything else, can save up to $15 each grocery trip?? Let’s say you grocery shop just 2 times a month. That’s $360 in savings per year!!! For my little family, the “name brand” items we choose are pop tarts and chips. My hubby can’t stand the off brand pop tarts 😂

What is it worth?? Sometimes you need to look BEYOND the price tag, to discover somethings true WORTH.
When I used to binge shop (yeah it’s a thing and I still have to curb my shopping frenzies!) I used to (essentially) buy packaging. I loooooove cute packaging and am a sucker for it. I love feeling the smooth edges and I love reading the labels. Even if the product or item was ugly or didn’t work, if the packaging was cute I WANTED it. But guess what?? I’d admire the packaging for a day or two, then it would end up in the trash. I wouldn’t use the product or wear the item- and the $29.99 or whatever it was- was totally WASTED.
Now when I shop I ask my self these questions: (especially when shopping makeup or skin care)
1. Did I do my research?? Does this product hold up to the claims on the cute packaging?
2. How long will this last?
3. How often will I use it?
These questions help me to narrow down on if I just want it for the look- or if I really am buying with purpose and understanding the worth of the item.
Remember- you don’t need to feel guilty for buying something- if it’s budgeted for! Budgeting is guilt free spending!

WE’RE DEBT FREE!!!

2 Cars ✅ (2013 Chevy Cruze 2012 Hyundai Accent)
Medical bills ✅ ( pretty difficult with my recent pneumonia stint)
Phones ✅
Student loans ✅
Right now, we don’t owe a penny to anyone. And it feels AMAZING 💚
SEE YA NEVER CONSUMER DEBT!!!
This was not an easy feat, but we FRIGGIN DID IT!!
What’s up baby steps 4-7, we’re coming for you!!

HELLO BUDGET PEOPLE!
I missed you! After being sick with pneumonia for about 7 weeks, (plus bronchitis) getting through finals and preparing for a move, I am BACK. My time away was good for me to recover, but I also realized how much JOY it brings me to help people budget 💚
I truly love helping people win with money.
This week some big changes are coming into mine and my husband’s life and I can’t wait to share with you! 🤩
