Power of Attorneys can be super helpful, but, there are some important things to keep in mind!

Most lenders require a 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 Power of Attorney that is written for that one transaction only. This applies to both buyers and sellers. Generic or broad Powers of Attorney are typically not accepted.❌

One more thing worth knowing: if the property is held in a Trust, a Power of Attorney may not be used at all. Trusts have their own provisions that allow other authorized individuals to sign without needing a Power of Attorney.
