Most loan officers don't leave bad companies. They just slowly stop producing at their best.

When underwriting is slow, you start babysitting files instead of building relationships. When tech is clunky, workarounds become habits. Habits become your ceiling. When comp is capped, your brain does the math, and you start protecting your energy instead of expanding it.

None of this happens overnight. That's what makes it dangerous. The best LOs I know didn't wait until things were broken. They moved when things were just... stuck.
