Abundant Returns Tax Services Welcome to Abundant Returns. We're so glad you're here. If you've ever opened a tax bill and felt your heart drop — you're in the right place.

Abundant Returns Tax Service is a tax advisory firm of Business Owners unknowingly overpay taxes. 97% of Physicians, Professionals & Small Business Owners overpay taxes. We're here to help you understand the tax game, save money & build your wealth! Hi, I'm Larisa Humphrey! I'm a proud mom, former IRS employee, and currently a Certified Tax Coach, author & founder of Abundant Returns. For over 25

years, I've helped business owners like YOU find tax savings & build personal wealth. In 1991, I started Abundant Returns after seeing on TV that Ross Perot, CEO of a multi-billion dollar corporation, paid less than $2000 in personal income taxes! Wow, I just couldn’t believe it because…I made $35,000 that year & paid more than $4000 in federal taxes alone!!! This was an “a-ha” moment for me—a life lesson that shattered my very sheltered view of reality. I learned two very valuable lessons—
• Life is not fair
AND
• People can live tax free! As a former IRS agent, I've written several books about "Keeping More Money in Your Pocket" & provide strategic Tax Plans to hundreds of business owners each year to help them do just that!

Want to reduce your taxable income legally? Start with the basics. 👇

Most entrepreneurs overpay the IRS by $5,000–$20,000 a year — not because the law is unfair, but because nobody showed them what's actually deductible, deferrable, or restructurable.

Here are 5 legal moves every business owner should know:

1️⃣ Elect the right entity (S-Corp can save 15.3% on profit)
2️⃣ Track every business mile (67¢/mile in 2026)
3️⃣ Fund a SEP-IRA or Solo 401(k) (shelter up to $70K)
4️⃣ Hire your kids the right way (up to $14,600 tax-free per child)
5️⃣ Hire a tax STRATEGIST — not just a preparer

A preparer files. A strategist plans. The difference is usually five figures.

🖤❤️💚 Happy Juneteenth 🖤❤️💚

June 19, 1865.

On this day, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas and announced that all enslaved people were free — two and a half years after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation.

For two and a half years, our ancestors continued to work, suffer, and die in bo***ge while their freedom was already legally declared. The news was deliberately withheld. The freedom was deliberately delayed.

That's a truth we carry into every Juneteenth.

Today we celebrate. And today we remember.

We remember the resilience of a people who built this country's wealth with their hands and were denied the right to share in it.

We remember the strength of a community that built churches, schools, businesses, banks, and entire towns — often only to watch them be destroyed by Tulsa-style massacres, urban renewal, or systemic disinvestment.

We remember that physical freedom was the first chain broken — but it was not the last.

Financial bo***ge is the chain we're still fighting today.

It looks like:
🔗 Generational wealth gaps that compound every year
🔗 Predatory lending that targets our communities
🔗 Tax codes written by and for people who don't look like us
🔗 A lack of financial education passed down because nobody taught the generation before
🔗 Brilliant Black entrepreneurs overpaying the IRS year after year because nobody showed them the rules

But here's the good news on this Juneteenth:

Those chains CAN be broken.

Not with hope alone. With knowledge. Strategy. Community. And the courage to claim what was always meant to be ours.

At Abundant Returns Tax Service, we exist for this exact purpose. We help Black entrepreneurs, business owners, and families:

✅ Stop overpaying the IRS — legally and strategically
✅ Build businesses structured for long-term wealth
✅ Plan, not just file — proactively, all year long
✅ Pass down equity, not just memories
✅ Operate from a place of financial strength, not fear

This Juneteenth, honor the day. Feel the joy. Remember the cost.

And when you're ready to break the next chain — the chain of financial bo***ge — we're here.

For generations, our community has operated in fear of the IRS. Fear of audits. Fear of penalties. Fear of a system we were never taught to navigate.

That fear? It's a form of financial bo***ge. And it's costing us — in overpaid taxes, missed deductions, and decisions made out of avoidance instead of strategy.

Here's the new layer most people don't know about yet:

🤖 The IRS is now using ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE to identify who gets audited.

This isn't speculation. The IRS has publicly confirmed they're using AI and machine learning to detect patterns, flag inconsistencies, and prioritize enforcement — especially for self-employed individuals, small business owners, and pass-through entities (LLCs, S-Corps, partnerships).

What this means for YOU as an entrepreneur:

🔹 Your return is being analyzed by an algorithm. It's not a human deciding if you "look suspicious" — it's a system trained on millions of data points.

🔹 Schedule C filers and 1099 earners are top targets. If you're self-employed, your return is under heavier scrutiny than W-2 employees.

🔹 Inconsistencies = red flags. Mismatched income reports, unusually high deductions for your income level, year-over-year swings — AI catches all of it.

🔹 You can't hide. But you CAN prepare. The answer isn't fear. It's strategy. A well-documented, well-planned return is your best defense.

Breaking the chains means:
✅ Understanding the system instead of avoiding it
✅ Building businesses with clean books, not shoeboxes of receipts
✅ Working with strategists who plan all year, not just in April
✅ Teaching the next generation what we were never taught

Financial freedom isn't just about making money. It's about KEEPING it — legally, strategically, and confidently.

The IRS has upgraded its tools. It's time we upgrade ours.

3 Signs You Need a Tax Strategy Review 💼

If you're a business owner, freelancer, or 1099 earner — read this before you file another return.

Most entrepreneurs don't realize they're overpaying the IRS until it's too late to fix it. Here's how to know if YOU'RE one of them:

🚩 Sign #1: You only talk to your tax pro in April.
That means you have a tax preparer, not a tax strategist. Preparers file what already happened. Strategists plan BEFORE December so you owe less in the first place.

🚩 Sign #2: Your income changed this year.
A raise, a new contract, a breakout year — every income jump triggers new tax rules. S-Corp elections, quarterly estimated payments, retirement strategy. If no one ran the numbers, you're leaving money on the table.

🚩 Sign #3: You don't know your effective tax rate.
What percentage of your income did you pay to the IRS last year? If you can't answer that, you can't optimize it.

Here's the truth: a tax strategy review takes about an hour. My clients routinely save $5,000–$25,000 per year from a single review.

That's a vacation. A retirement contribution. A new hire. A paid-off card.

If any of these signs hit home — comment "REVIEW" below or send me a message. I'll share our free Tax Strategy Audit checklist so you can see where you stand.

Fact or Fiction?
Tax planning is only for the wealthy.

Fiction.

Tax planning is for business owners who want to stop guessing, stop scrambling, and stop waiting until tax season to figure things out.

Whether you own a small business, are self-employed, run a Black-owned business, operate a women-owned company, or work as an entrepreneur, planning ahead matters.

Tax planning can help you review deductions, organize records, prepare for quarterly taxes, and make better financial decisions throughout the year.

If you started your business as a sole proprietor, LLC, partnership, S corporation, or corporation, your tax rules may not all be the same.

Your structure can impact:

How income is reported.
Whether self-employment tax applies.
How you pay yourself.
What forms you file.
What planning options you have.

The question is not just, “Did I form an LLC?”
The better question is, “Is my current setup still the right fit for my business?”

Tax planning should not be a once-a-year panic.

Before year-end, every business owner should take time to review income, clean up expenses, check estimated tax payments, look for missed deductions, and schedule a tax review.

Why? Because missed receipts, messy books, and unclear deductions can cost you money or create unnecessary stress.

If you own a small business, run a Black-owned business, operate a women-owned company, or work for yourself, your records matter all year long.

Did you know the IRS is using more data, analytics, and AI in parts of its compliance work?

The IRS has stated that it uses technology, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics to identify high-risk areas of noncompliance and fraud with greater accuracy.

For business owners, this is a reminder:

Tax planning cannot be a once-a-year panic. DON'T DELAY!

If you own a small business, run a Black-owned business, operate a women-owned company, or work for yourself, your records matter year-round.

Missed receipts, messy books, unclear deductions, and poor expense tracking can cost you money or create unnecessary stress.
