I borrowed this but so true!
My friend asked me: “Why don’t you think I’m cut out for Mortgage lending?” I replied on any given file there is an average of about 16 people involved.
1. Buyer
2 Buyers spouse
3 Seller
4 Sellers spouse
5 selling agent
6 buying agent
7 appraiser
8 appraisal hub contact
9 underwriter
10 senior underwriter
11 escrow officer
12 escrow officers assistant
13 inspector
14 ins agent
15 closing reviewer
16 funder
And there’s many, many more depending on details brokers, builders new construction, repairs needed parents of buyers etc etc.
He says ok so?
I said well just imagine having to know all their parts plus yours because if any which one of those people drop the ball. His fault, her fault their fault thems fault. It usually ends up being perceived as your fault and if that isn’t bad enough you don’t get paid till it’s fixed, funded and recorded your fault or not…
