We're excited to introduce the new face of Nor Cal Mortgage of Marin!

Our original logo was created back in 1982, and after 44 years, we figured it was time for a little refresh! We wanted something that better reflects not just what we do, but who we are and what we believe in.

Our new logo brings together a few things close to our hearts: the comfort of home, the beauty of Northern California, and, of course, a golden retriever! 🐾

Why a golden retriever? Because loyalty, trust, kindness, and genuine relationships are at the heart of how we do business. And frankly, everything's a little better with a golden retriever around!

My self watering raised beds have a water reservoir that I refill every few days. While refilling one of them this past week, a baby frog jumped out and hopped around in my raised bed! 🐸

He looks big because I zoomed in but he was just a little guy, barely bigger than my thumbnail.

What a fun surprise. 😄

This is honestly one of my favorite things about having a garden. You never know what is going to show up.

He stayed very still and let me get a few close up shots. I am not a big snake fan but I have to admit he is harmless and I really do like his colors!

He was absolutely dedicated to the job. And by the end his hinie was so shiny with pollen I could not stop laughing.

An exercise in patience. 🎨

Back in May I ordered a custom paint by number of each of my dogs and decided to tackle Pearl the Girl first. The canvas is 16 by 20 inches with 35 different colors. Some areas were so ornate I had to use a magnifying glass just to read the numbers.

After countless hours I finally completed my first masterpiece of little Pearly. 😂

Since Pearl is her father’s dog, I decided to give the painting to Bob for his birthday. He loved it.

Here is a quick progression over the weeks and months, concluding with the birthday boy posing with Pearl and the painting. 🥺

You cannot rush a good swing. You cannot force the ball where you want it to go. And you definitely cannot win the round on the first hole.

Bob and I recently celebrated our anniversary with something a little different. We headed to Osmosis Day Spa in Freestone for a cedar enzyme bath and massage and it was absolutely wonderful.

If you have never heard of a cedar enzyme bath, it is exactly what it sounds like. You are nestled into a tub of warm cedar, rice bran and over 600 active plant enzymes that generate their own natural heat. It sounds wild but it is one of the most relaxing things I have ever experienced.

Osmosis is tucked away in the beautiful Sonoma County town of Freestone and the whole setting feels like a world away. Japanese garden, koi pond, the most peaceful atmosphere you can imagine.

Here is to 27 years and many more adventures together. 💕

Everyone meet Rocket! He is my sister's new rescue, about 12 weeks old and already winning hearts everywhere he goes. Super cute, super friendly and fitting right into the family.

We got to spend some time together recently and watching him get to know everyone was absolutely precious. Beary was particularly interested in those nose nibbles. 😂

There are some friendships that are just timeless. 💕

My bestie Kamala has been living in a different state from me for decades now. We only get to talk or see each other a few times a year if we are lucky. But whenever we are together our friendship locks into place and feels like home.

In June she came to visit and we spent a beautiful morning walking at Blackie's Pasture in Tiburon. Beary joined us, of course. We saw dogs, birds and butterflies along the way. And an artist had installed signs with positive messages throughout the pasture that made the whole walk feel extra special.

It was a day filled with fresh air, laughter and the kind of conversation that only happens with someone who really knows you.

Love you Kam. So grateful for you. 🥹🌿

Rates have been moving around a lot this year. We had a beautiful window in February when they dipped to their lowest levels since 2022. Then the conflict in Iran pushed them back up. And they have been bouncing around ever since.

Here is what has not changed. Marin home values remain strong. Inventory is slightly higher than last year. And sellers are more willing to negotiate than they have been in a long time.

That combination does not come around often. If you have been waiting for the right moment to buy, refinance, or tap into your home equity, I would love to look at the numbers with you and see what is actually possible right now.
