Good news for Anthem PPO and EPO members in San Diego: Anthem and Scripps Health have reached a new multi-year agreement, so Scripps stays in-network.

There are a couple of exceptions. Scripps doctors are no longer part of Anthem’s HMO network, and HMO members who had a Scripps primary care doctor were moved to a new doctor as of October 1. Anthem’s Covered California plans don’t include Scripps either.

If you’re not sure which of these applies to you or your employees, that’s what we’re here for. We’ll look at your plan, check whether your doctors are in-network, and walk you through your options.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the most powerful thing you can do this month is simple: schedule your mammogram.

Here’s what many people don’t realize. Screening mammograms are considered preventive care, so most Medicare, ACA individual and family, and employer group plans cover them, often at no cost to you.
