We are also still taking breast milk donations with your donor id # on hand. If you are still not a donor and would like to become one, please reach out! It only takes about 5 minutes to get started.

As many of you know, Simply MaMa is a milk depot for the Mothers’ Milk Bank in San Jose, which sends milk to needy babies throughout California and most of the west coast. While Central Coast mothers have been generous in donating milk to us, we recently find ourselves in an acute shortage of milk. For those of you who already have a donor number, you can bring by additional milk to us at Simply MaMa, 2705 McMillan Avenue, Suite 130 in San Luis Obispo. If you are interested in becoming a donor, please call us so that we can walk you through the process of becoming a donor. In order to become a donor, mothers must commit to donating e minimum of 100 ounces to the milk bank. We are open Monday-Friday from 9a.m. to 4 P.M and our phone number is 805-541-1462,

Many years ago, Kathleen had a milk depot at "General Hospital" in San Luis which was forced to close. After a surprise meeting with Pauline Sakamoto from the MMB of San Jose, Kathleen realized that her wearhouse which supplies breast pumps to mothers throughout the county could become a depot again.

Currently the MMB is experiencing a a critical need for milk. The supply of human milk for critically fragile babies, address health equity issues faced by babies born pre-term/ low birth weight and medically fragile and significantly level the playing field to advance equitable access to HMBANA member milk banks, pasteurized donor human milk.
