Auto Gaps: "Full Coverage" Isn't Always Full!
At Valley Insurance Providers, we hear it all the time: "I have full coverage, so I'm good, right?" 🤔
The truth is, "Full Coverage" isn't a single policy – it's a common term that refers to having a combination of coverages, usually Liability, Collision, and Comprehensive. But even with these, there can still be gaps in your protection!
Let's break down the basics:
🛡️ Liability Coverage: This is the minimum required by law in most states. It covers damages (bodily injury and property damage) you might cause to other people and their vehicles in an at-fault accident. It does NOT cover damages to YOUR car.
** crash Full Coverage (Collision & Comprehensive):**
Collision: Pays for damage to your vehicle resulting from a collision with another car or object, regardless of who is at fault.
Comprehensive: Covers damage to your vehicle from non-collision events like theft, vandalism, fire, hail, or hitting an animal.
The "Gaps" You Might Be Missing:
Even with Collision and Comprehensive, you could still benefit from important add-ons like:
Rental Car Reimbursement: Covers the cost of a rental car while yours is being repaired.
Roadside Assistance: Helps with breakdowns, flat tires, or lockouts.
Medical Payments/PIP: Covers medical expenses for you and your passengers after an accident.
Don't assume you're fully protected! Understanding your policy is key to ensuring you're covered for every bump in the road.
