Meet Shreen Elkenani, owner of Sandwichgirlnyc LLC in Brooklyn, NY.

Since 2021, Shreen has built a Park Slope cafe rooted in family recipes, blending Egyptian and Mexican flavors and turning every sandwich into a conversation.

As a graduate of the Ripple Digital Leap Forward Accelerator, Shreen spent eight weeks learning alongside fellow small business owners, building a personalized digital roadmap and earning a $10,000 grant to put it into action. What stayed with her most was the community.

As Shreen shares: “I found my tribe and when you find your tribe, you stick to them.”

When a fellow graduate who owns a pizzeria was having trouble hiring, Shreen suggested a bonus for staff when they sell a certain number of pizzas. Her advice: “What’s the most important in your business is the people that work for you. It’s your product and the people.”

Running a business is hard, but you don’t have to do it alone.
