"Tofig Insurance and Financial Services has been in business since 1977. The agency was started by Maurice Tofig, who set out to provide an outstanding customer experience for families looking for help with insurance. Over the years, the agency has earned dozens of awards and is serving second and third-generation customers. Today, the agency is run by Maurice’s two sons – Dave and Josh. The two grew up helping their dad around the office (just like the rest of the family), and after college and some real-world experience, they naturally transitioned into the family business. Nearly four decades since Maurice first opened his doors, the family business continues to earn a reputation for outstanding service and is a top-tier rated Allstate agency.
The entire Tofig family is very close to one other and is deeply rooted in San Jose. Everyone lives in the area and has a love for the people, the community and the San Jose Sharks! Dave went to school at UCLA and worked for a national financial service provider before he went on to earn his MBA from UNC. He and his wife Kate have four wonderful kids – Siena, Violet, Sawyer and Kirra. In his free time, Dave enjoys hanging out with the family, surfing and watching college football on Saturday nights. Josh graduated from UC Santa Cruz and moved around the country working in publishing and playing music. He enjoys bicycle racing (and is part of the SunPower racing team), going out to eat with his wife Mara or going for walks with their puppy, Matzah.
Dave and Josh like to keep a loose and welcoming atmosphere at the office, so that customers feel comfortable coming in whenever they’d like. Treating people like you’d like to be treated has always been a mantra in the Tofig business and the team does this by helping customers understand insurance choices and being there for them, when they need it most.
