After a long fight between Democrats and Republicans, the 3 year extension for the Affordable Care Act has been passed by the House. The bill is now heading to the Senate. Let's hope that there will not be a long dragged out fight before passing bill for the good of the millions of American people who cannot afford health insurance premiums.

My fellow Californians: I have the market for your home insurance now through nonadmitted or nonstandard markets. What this means is that unlike admitted/standard markets, they don’t contribute in the California Insurance Guarantee Association. In case an insurer becomes insolvent, insureds may face financial exposure. The good news is that Delos has an “A rating” through AM Best, an indication that it has a great financial capability to cover losses. Lightspeed is an MGA (managing general agent). It does not carry and write its own insurance but they work with strong companies like Lloyds of London. And Lloyds has excellent “A” rated carriers or stronger under its belt.

Keep in mind that underwriting for many insurers have become strict which includes the companies I am appointed with.
