We're pleased to announce that Pete Keliuotis, CFA, our head of Alternatives Consulting, will become our director of Public and Private Markets Research, effective June 15. In this newly created role, Pete will continue to lead our alternatives research efforts while also overseeing our public markets research teams with the goal of strengthening collaboration across the entire research platform, fostering technology innovation and adoption, and ensuring we have the focus and capabilities needed to meet our clients' evolving needs. Pete will remain actively involved with clients and consulting teams.
Pete's new role is the first major step in our succession planning efforts, as we prepare for Ivan "Butch" Cliff, CFA's March 2027 retirement. We are thrilled for Butch and thankful for everything he has done for Callan, our clients, and the institutional investment industry over the past 36 years. Among the many things he’s accomplished, Butch has been central to creating Callan’s research-driven culture, one of our firm’s great strengths and differentiators. Consistent with his commitment to our clients and colleagues, he has been very deliberate in succession planning, giving us a year to prepare.
