Agentic commerce is creating a protocol explosion: ACP, UCP, x402, MPP, browser agents, MCP pipelines, wallet-based flows, and more...The challenge isn’t choosing the “winning” protocol - it's enabling secure interoperability across all of them.

VGS solves this with a universal translation layer that:
• Vaults payment credentials securely
• Tokenizes sensitive data once
• Routes credentials across ecosystems in the required format
• Keeps merchants protocol-agnostic

The result: developers can build for the future of AI-driven commerce without exposing raw payment data or managing fragmented integrations.

The next evolution of commerce may not happen in a browser - it may happen in a terminal.

A new paradigm is emerging: Command-Line Commerce (CLC), where AI agents, APIs, and programmable payments enable software to transact autonomously.

We’re moving from: “search and click” ➡️ “intent and execution”

As AI agents begin making purchasing decisions on behalf of users and businesses, commerce infrastructure must become:
✔️ API-native
✔️ Machine-readable
✔️ Secure & programmable

In our latest blog article, VGS's Sr. Director, Product Delivery, Travis Mottershead, explores:
🔹 What Command-Line Commerce is
🔹 Why stablecoins and tokenized credentials matter
🔹 How businesses should prepare for autonomous transactions

🚨 AI and PCI compliance are on a collision course - and most companies aren’t ready. 🚨

As AI adoption accelerates across payments, fraud detection, and customer experiences, it’s fundamentally changing how sensitive cardholder data is accessed, processed, and stored.

👉 That raises a critical question: How do merchants maintain PCI DSS compliance in AI-driven environments?

In VGS's latest blog post, we break down the key issues shaping AI and PCI compliance:
• How AI systems expand PCI scope and increase audit complexity
• The hidden risks of exposing cardholder data to LLMs and third-party models
• Why legacy compliance approaches don’t work for AI-powered architectures
• How tokenization, data vaulting, and isolation-first design reduce compliance burden

💡 The takeaway: AI doesn’t just introduce new risk; it changes the definition of your cardholder data environment.

Forward-thinking companies are moving toward data-centric security models, where sensitive data is never exposed to AI systems in the first place. This approach not only strengthens security but also simplifies PCI compliance at scale. If you’re building or deploying AI in fintech, payments, or SaaS, understanding this shift is essential.
