This California-owned i8 shows 2,900 original miles. It’s finished in Crystal White with Frozen Grey over Carum Spice Grey full leather, and it was optioned from new with the Pure Impulse World package: 20-inch BMW i light-alloy wheels, LED headlights with cornering lights, a full-color head-up display, Active Driving Assistant, Harman Kardon sound, heated front seats, an Anthracite headliner, BMW i Blue seat belts and ambiance lighting. The original window sticker totaled $149,250.
A 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder drives the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic, and an eDrive electric motor drives the front wheels through a two-speed automatic. BMW rated the pair at 357 hp and 420 lb-ft combined, good for 0–60 mph in 4.2 seconds and a 155-mph top speed.
Underneath is BMW’s LifeDrive architecture: a carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic passenger cell on an aluminum chassis, with scissor doors that swing up and forward. When new, the EPA rated it at 76 MPGe combined on electricity and gasoline, and 28 mpg combined on gasoline alone.

Three-stage white repaint with classic blue Sport Truck stripes over a brand-new blue interior. The bed was pulled and rotisserie restored with Rhino Linings, the frame and diffs refinished, and a chrome roll bar with four KC lights went on up top.
Under the hood: a rebuilt 22R based on the ‘84-and-newer engine, with our performance package: LCE headers, Weber 36, LCE intake, high-flow cat and a 3” Flowmaster exhaust. Our appearance package adds the red hoses and blue plug wires. 3” lift on 33” Mickey Thompsons and white classic-style wheels.
Factory AC, SR5 cluster with tach, and a 7-speaker sound system you’d never know was there.
