Ever hear this line?
“Buy term insurance and invest the difference.”

Always consider the following facts:

#1 That’s wonderful in theory, however in reality most people do not invest the difference. They spend it. And, there is no guarantee that even if they invest the difference that particular investment will be profitable.

#2 Term insurance will run out at a specific time. Could be 10 years, 20 years or 30 years, but it will terminate at the end of the term. Then you have no coverage.

#3 To renew the term, it will cost much more than it originally did. Depending on your age, it can increase 10x or more.

#4 You must be insurable when you want to renew a term policy. This is what most people fail to realize. Life is unpredictable and so are your health conditions.

#5 Only about 1% of term insurance ever pays out. That is why it is so cheap.

Remember that the Open Enrollment for Health Plans ends on January 31, 2020. However, you need to sign up for your new plan by December 15, 2019, if you would like a January 1, 2020 effective date.
