We’re pleased to announce that Christine Scorza has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer at ICW Group.

Christine will lead the next phase of ICW Group’s technology transformation, helping strengthen enterprise capabilities, accelerate speed to market, and support our growth and diversification strategy. She will also help advance our AI deployment, with a focus on governance and measurable business value.

Christine brings more than two decades of experience across technology, product management, consulting, and financial services. Since returning to ICW Group in 2018, she has taken on progressively broader technology leadership roles, most recently serving as VP, Information Technology.

Throughout her time at ICW Group, Christine has brought a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and using technology to create meaningful business outcomes.

One redesign turned a high-risk process into a safer, smarter operation.

ICW Group's Senior Risk Management Specialist Oscar Ramos recently administered a safety award to his client after they redesigned their package handling process to remove serious ergonomic exposures.

Oscar performed an ergonomic assessment that revealed long-term risks tied to reaching, bending, and lifting tasks. He partnered with his client to reimagine their workflow, introducing a conveyor belt system that significantly reduced manual handling and improved employee safety.

Another milestone for ICW Specialty!

Today, we announce Legacy Solutions, a new platform to help self-insured organizations manage and transfer long-term insurance liabilities. We’re also excited to welcome industry veteran Lisa Walsh as Head of Legacy Solutions.

Launching in September, Legacy Solutions will focus on loss portfolio transfers (LPTs) associated with workers’ compensation claims, leveraging ICW Group’s deep claims, actuarial, and workers’ compensation expertise.

“I’m excited to join ICW Specialty at a time when it’s accelerating its growth in the specialty market,” said Walsh. “I look forward to building on ICW Group’s longstanding workers’ compensation expertise and creating innovative solutions for clients.”

We’re excited to welcome Tobel Thomas to ICW Group as Senior Underwriting Manager where he will help lead the launch of ICW Group's Commercial Package products in California.

With more than 20 years of insurance experience spanning small business, middle market, and national accounts, Tobel brings deep underwriting expertise, industry perspective, and experience building technology-enabled distribution and underwriting platforms. His background in insurance and insurtech will be valuable as ICW Group expands its Commercial Lines business.

His appointment to ICW Group is also a homecoming. Early in his career, Tobel was part of the ICW Group team, and we're excited to have him back!
