Cabrillo and RP spent the day enjoying all the sights and sounds of this desolate and abundant desert island! Amazing!
Diane Alps from the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and staff does a fantastic job of informing, entertaining and educating us about the wonders of this place and all the places we visit! Not only imparting a wealth of knowledge, sharing great photos and just having a fun time! Thank you Diane!

RP have left the building!
We had a windy day with the Greys! Delicious RP fish tacos, Lasagna and great camaraderie! The Royal made a hair raising and fun transition from lagoon to open ocean! Thank you Long time Captain Jim Hughes for your knowledge, humor and ocean skills! We all feel safe and happy aboard this amazing and beautiful boat! More adventures, fantastic food and fun to go!

Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and Royal Polaris have arrived at Laguna San Ignacio!
The wind and weather came up and we did a Mangrove run! Whale watching was limited today but we did see a cow/calf pair we will make our friends tomorrow! The Guys In the galley are absolutely slaying it! WOW WOW! Really good! After dinner we will learn more about this amazing place and enjoy the night rain!

Cabrillo Aquarium and the Royal Polaris spent a beautiful day on isla San Benito Oeste!
Several folks enjoyed a very educational plant and bird hike to the island lighthouse, some remained near the fish camp and observed elephant Seals and Ospreys from afar! Perfect island weather, super yummy lunches and fun people made the day! More tomorrow!

Heading North!
We departed the lagoon and traveled up to Cedros island. Being the only boat that visits this section of this island makes it very special, isolated and wonderful! We hiked and enjoyed the plentiful flowers, birds, frogs, lizards, fresh water and the desolate rugged terrain! The food remains top notch! Simply a great day! More tomorrow!

RP and Treebones spent another glorious day in San Ignacio Lagoon!
We got up early to watch the stunning lunar eclipse, whaled, watched birds, ate like kings, walked shell and bone laden beaches, laughed, sang songs and enjoyed this incredible place! I for one am sad to be leaving however tomorrow is another day to enjoy the beautiful Royal Polaris and nature!

Arriving at San Ignacio Lagoon with perfect weather and great company is about as good as it gets—especially during whale season. The lagoon is world-famous for its close encounters with gray whales, so “amazing” is probably an understatement!

And shoutout to chefs Perle and Chino who have been knocking it out of the park!
