**Homeowners: Here's a FREE way to help protect your home from title fraud.**
Most people don't realize that criminals can attempt to record fraudulent documents against a property. While it's not common, it does happen—and staying informed is one of the best ways to protect yourself.
San Diego County offers **Owner Alert**, a **FREE** service that sends you an email notification anytime a document is recorded using your name or your property's Assessor Parcel Number (APN). It only takes a few minutes to enroll, and there is no cost.
If you own property in San Diego County, I highly recommend signing up.
