Finally found the courage to write this… Losing someone you know is always hard, but losing a mom — the one who gave you life and brought you into this world — is truly heartbreaking. Over the years, friends lost their parents, and I remember when Heather losing her mom — I could see their pain, but I never truly understood it until now. Nothing prepares you for losing your own.

The pain is unbearable. I can’t pick up the phone to call, or visit her whenever I need comfort. I regret not spending more time with her. I wish I could hear her voice one last time, just to tell her how much I love her.

It’s been difficult to pick myself back up, but I am grateful for the love she gave me, and thankful I had the privilege to call her ‘Ama.’ We will meet again someday. Hailey says “Hi”….

Please hug your mom tonight. Life is too short to think we always have more time with the ones we love.

Rest in peace, Mom… thank you for everything. ❤️❤️
