As a State Farm Agent, I spend a lot of time talking about protecting what matters most — but today, it’s about prevention before the unexpected happens.

I’m proud to partner with the Boerne Fire Department by delivering fire prevention materials to help educate our community and local families about fire safety. ❤️

And this one is extra special to me because this department isn’t just a community partner — it’s family. With my husband serving with Boerne Fire, these men and women have become like my second family. I’ve seen firsthand the dedication, sacrifice, and heart they bring to protecting our community.

So this Fire Prevention Week, take a few minutes with your family to:

🔥 Review your escape plan
🔥 Talk about a meeting spot outside your home
🔥 Practice your fire escape plan

🔥 Prepared homes. Informed communities. Stronger Texas.

Today, I had the opportunity to attend the Wildfire Prepared Home Workshop in Kendall County alongside professionals from the International Code Council (ICC), Boerne Fire Department, Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS), Wildfire Prevention Co., and Hill Country Coalition of Texas.

As a State Farm agent — and a Boerne firefighter’s wife — wildfire preparedness hits a little differently for me.

I see the importance of this work from two perspectives: helping families understand how to protect what they’ve worked so hard for, and knowing the reality that first responders face when they’re called to protect those families.

Today was a reminder that wildfire resilience isn’t just about what happens after a loss. It’s about mitigation, education, preparation, and taking action before disaster strikes.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from the professionals who are working to make our Hill Country communities safer and more resilient — and to bring that knowledge back to the families I serve across Texas.

Because the goal is simple: be informed, be prepared, and be part of the solution — not the devastation. ❤️‍🔥
