As we roll into 2026 and individual health goals are top of mind, a quick reminder on GLP-1 medications:

GLP-1s are 'diabetes' medications that just so happen to have a weight-loss effect. Because of that, most medical carriers will not cover them when prescribed solely for 'weight loss.'

Coverage typically requires the prescribing physician to submit a qualifying diagnosis (such as 'diabetes') and supporting medical documentation.

Always worth checking plan details before starting treatment!
