Zillow just announced their new FHA Down Payment Assistance Program. Sounds exciting! BUT ….

the rest of us have already been doing it for ages. We at CCM have 10 in the state of Texas alone. Not even counting the other states I, and we do business in.

In TX: we have 4 state programs (with repayment and without depending on the program we are talking about) Plus the city ones all around the place. But all have income limits.

Nationally we have 6 programs (4 of which don’t require repayment AND don’t have any income limits!

Don’t limit yourself. While options can be overwhelming it’s so nice to have choices to plug into your budget and make the right decision for your family.

Chimes credit Builder credit card makes you look maxed out on your credit report why? Chime reports your payment, history, your balance, and your account age, but not a credit limit or utilization. When there’s no limit on a credit card, the scoring models makes it look like you are maxed out. And this hurts your credit scores tremendously.

Now, if you already have a chime credit card do not close it just know how to manage it! In this video, I’ll tell you exactly how to do that

A recent article by Thumbtack stated that homeowners are spending more than $11,000 a year on home maintenance. This shocked me so I had to dig deeper. In this video I explained what those costs composed of and helped shed some light on how much you should put aside for home maintenance.

Cash is King except with your mortgage lender!

I say this at literally every home loan process meeting before I send people shopping for their own new home. And someone inevitably still does it anyway.

As much as I would love to tell you that the words “ trust me “ is an acceptable answer for an underwriter. It’s just not.

Before you deposit your cash in your bank account, the first step that you always do is reach out to your Loan Officer to discuss it. And hopefully that Loan Officer is me!
