What a good day for a beautiful Saturday!
A fun-filled Saturday with numerous different events such as a fall festival, music, and sports:
🔸Free Festival & Fall Market Day @ Eisenhower Park, from 8am to 1pm - The Banquet Table is once again bringing coffee and nonprofits together with a Free Festival + Fall Market Day at Eisenhower Park on the first day of fall. Bring the family to hike, shop, eat, and play as you learn about local nonprofits and small businesses. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be free games and crafts for the whole family, and of course, coffee.
🔸2023 Rey Feo Superhero River Parade @ Arneson River Theatre, starts at 7pm - Fiesta may seem long gone but it’s always a good time for a night river parade. This fundraiser for Rey Feo Scholarships brings all your favorite superheroes to the downtown loop of the Riverwalk. Official seating is at the Arneson River Theatre and includes refreshments and entertainment. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the parade starts at 7.
🔸San Antonio FC v. Orange County FC @ Toyota Field, starts at 7:30pm - Coming off a draw against the Tampa Bay Rowdies, San Antonio FC is back at it against the Orange County FC this weekend. It’s Kick Childhood Cancer Night, so the first 1,000 fans will receive a commemorative T-shirt from Methodist Healthcare. Come out and cheer for the home team while you support a great cause. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
🔸The Wailers @ Sam's Burger Joint, starts at 8:30pm - The remaining members of Bob Marley and the Wailers are finishing up a whirlwind summer tour with a pair of shows in Texas including Saturday at Sam’s Burger Joint. The group, still committed to the reggae sound and messages of love, unity, and social justice, released One World in 2020 and are working on a new album with Emilio Estefan. Get ready for a night of classic hits and inspiring new material. Ages 18 and up. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and music starts at 8:30.
🔸Ska v. Cumbia @ Bang Bang Bar, starts at 8pm - Visit the Bang Bang Bar Saturday night for a mashup of ska and cumbia sounds to get you on your feet. Local bands include Spies Like Us, Tarasco Tropical plus special guest The Fixations. Doors open at 8 p.m. Ages 21 and up.
