State Farm is a mutual company. Progressive & GEICO are stock companies.

That means we are owned by our policy holders while our competition is owned by stock holders.

State Farm is paying out $5 billion in dividends to policy holders.

That makes me smile. If you’re a customer of mine I hope that makes you smile as well.

Here’s what to expect:

-Payments began July 20th. All payments will come by mail for those that do not have email on file within the next 6 weeks. A third party is processing. I’m not sure what that piece of mail will look like so just don’t throw away mail without opening… It Is Not a Scam!!

-Those with email on file will receive an email with details of their payment. You will also have the option to select payment direct deposit. This will begin August 3rd and will also take 6 weeks.

-If you had a car insured in 2025 with us you should be receiving money back!

-If you don’t get it before October 1st please call the office. Anytime before then the assumption will be that it’s still on its way.

Storm Tip: if you have rising water, you need flood insurance. In my tenure with State Farm, I've never seen a home policy cover flood without a separate flood insurance policy. Don't get caught without it! We can help you with that policy -- just give us a call.

While Gov. Greg Abbott declared “the worst of the rain is behind us,” he cautioned that rivers in the hardest-hit counties still pose a danger.
