🌩️ Storm Recovery Tips from Ruben Reyna III Insurance Agency Family 🌩️
🚨🚨PLEASE SHARE🚨🚨
Last night’s storm brought wind gusts up to 70 mph to our San Antonio community, and if your home or property took a hit, we want you to know: we’re here for you before, during, and after any claim.
Before you pick up the phone, here’s what to do first:
🔍 1. Document Everything:
Walk your property and take photos/videos of any damage: roof, fences, siding, vehicles, trees. Timestamped photos are your best friend if you do end up filing.
📞 2. Call Us First, Not the Claims Line:
Before you contact the claims department directly, call your agent. We can walk through your policy with you, explain what’s covered, and help you understand if filing makes sense for your situation.
💰 3. Know Your Deductible:
Ask us what your wind/hail or hurricane deductible actually is. Sometimes repair costs come in under your deductible, meaning a claim wouldn’t pay out anyway, but it would still go on your record.
⚠️ 4. Understand How Claims Work:
This is a big one: once you formally call the insurance company’s claims department and open a claim, it’s on record — even if you later decide the damage isn’t bad enough to move forward. That’s why talking to your agent FIRST matters. We help you make an informed decision before that record is created.
📋 5. Review Your Coverage Now (Don’t Wait for Next Time) Not sure what your policy covers for wind damage, fallen trees, or roof repair? Now’s a great time to check in with us so you’re not caught off guard next storm season.
We know storms are stressful. Our job is to make sure you’re protected, informed, and never navigating this alone.
If you are insured with us and it’s an emergency claim, contact 888-327-6335 to file a claim!
