What a beautiful morning on the trails! 🥾☀️

Our hiking group hit Eisenhower Park today for a gorgeous 3-mile trek up to the observation tower and back. The wildflowers are in full bloom right now, and the views of the city from the top were absolutely stunning.

We also spotted some really interesting-looking mushrooms along the path 🍄, and even made a new friend—a literal giant of a dog appropriately named **Oso** (Bear)! 🐻🐾

Between the perfect weather, the amazing views, and the unbeatable camaraderie, it was the best way to start the day. Thanks to everyone who came out to share the trails this beautiful Memorial Day! 🌿🌸

🍃 Nature Therapy at Lockhart State Park - Texas Parks and Wildlife 🍃

Today was a soul-refreshing experience as Ranger Lauren from Lockhart State Park led us through a morning of forest bathing! 🧘‍♀️✨

With the forest looking incredibly lush from the recent rainfall, we took the time to truly connect with nature using all five of our senses. It was a slow, intentional journey that reminded us why we love the outdoors.

Our sensory highlights:
🌸 Sight: Spotting delicate rain lilies popping up all along the trail.
🍵 Taste: Sipping warm Yaupon tea and tasting edible Turk's cap!
👣 Touch: Going barefoot to feel the cool, damp earth beneath our feet.
👂 Sound: Listening to the gentle breeze blowing through the trees.
👃 Smell: Breathing in that fresh, post-rain forest air.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to slow down and just be. Our hearts (and our feet!) feel so grounded.

We had a wonderful morning exploring the Headwaters Sanctuary Trails at UIW! Our group managed to get in a solid 2.5 miles of fresh air and beautiful scenery just before the rain rolled in. 🦋

A highlight of the trek was definitely visiting the Butterfly & Pollinator Garden—it’s such a peaceful gem in the heart of the city! 🌸🐝

Thank you to everyone who braved the humidity and hit the trails with us today. There’s nothing like a little nature therapy to kick off the weekend! 🥾

The Hill Country was showing off for our group hike on Sunday Inks Lake State Park - Texas Parks and Wildlife

The bluebonnets were out in full force, coating the landscape in stunning vibrant blues. There is nothing like hiking surrounded by wildflowers and stunning lake views! 🌸💙

What a spectacular day on the trails! The Savannah Loop at Government Canyon State Natural Area - Texas Parks and Wildlife never disappoints, especially with the spring season starting to show off. 🌿✨

We couldn't have asked for better weather for today's hike! From the wide-open views to the crisp morning air, it was the perfect way to recharge and connect. There’s something so special about hitting the trail with this community—the miles just fly by when the conversation is this good. 🥾

Highlights from today’s trek:
🌾 The Scenery: The Savannah Loop gave us all the "wide-open adventure" vibes we were looking for.
💬 The Company: Laughs, encouragement, and new friendships made every incline worth it!

Longer days give us more golden hour light to linger on the trails, while the blooming wildflowers—from those iconic Bluebonnets to vibrant Indian Paintbrush—turn our favorite hikes into a living canvas. It’s the season where wildlife is most active, the air is crisp, and every turn reveals a new wide-open adventure waiting to be discovered.

Whether it's the rhythmic sound of spring birds or the sight of a lush, green canopy filling in, spring reminds us that there is always room for growth and new beginnings. It truly is the best time of year to lace up those boots, breathe deep, and explore the beauty of the outdoors. 🥾🌿
