Fraudsters are now leveraging AI to impersonate trusted individuals—family, friends, or even your bank.
How to Stay Safe:
• Be skeptical of unexpected calls or messages, even if they sound familiar. Always verbally confirm payment instructions
directly with the payee—do not rely solely on email requests.
• Verify the identity of the person contacting you through another trusted method. If you receive a call from someone
claiming to be from the bank requesting sensitive information, hang up and call the bank’s published number to confirm the
legitimacy of the request.
• Never share sensitive information over the phone or online without confirmation.
