Another enforcement stop led to another VIN switched stolen vehicle. This time, an Infiniti.

Officer Trenado has been finding these vehicles lately, so here's something to remember if you're buying from a private seller.

Take your time. Make sure the seller's name matches the title. Check the VIN on the dash against the paperwork.

If the seller only wants cash, wants to meet somewhere random, is rushing the sale, or has a story about why their name isn't on the title, slow down.

And if something doesn't feel right, walk away.

There will always be another car. There may not be another chance to get your money back.
