Good morning, our hearts are with everyone affected by the unprecedented flooding in our region. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this challenging time.
Important Notice for Homeowners Policyholders:
Please do not file a claim under your homeowners insurance if floodwaters entered your home unless the damage was caused by a covered peril (such as a burst pipe or wind-driven rain through an opening caused by a covered loss).
Unfortunately, rising water and flash flooding are not covered by a standard homeowners policy.
Flood insurance must be purchased as a separate policy, and in most areas of Texas—including San Angelo—it is not required by law, which means many residents may not be covered.
According to local officials, a disaster declaration has been issued, and we are hopeful that state and federal relief will follow soon.
In the meantime, your safety is our top priority. Please take precautions to protect your home from further damage—move items off the floor, document everything with photos, and avoid entering standing water.
