The Fed held rates steady today, keeping the federal funds rate at 3.50% to 3.75%. While that wasn't a surprise, the details beneath the headline are worth paying attention to.

Inflation remains above the Fed's target, and three voting members actually pushed for a rate increase. That's a reminder that even when rates don't move, the conversation around them continues to evolve.

This is exactly where we do our best work: taking something that sounds uneventful and making sure it actually is uneventful for your plan. Not just assuming. Confirming.

Seven years ago, we had an idea that wouldn't let us go. What if success wasn't measured by wealth alone, but by how well you live, and for how long?

For the past 18 months, we've poured everything into bringing that idea to life. Early mornings, late nights, more revisions than we can count, and honestly, more than a few moments where we had to step back and admit we weren't practicing what we were writing. We'd get so buried in the work that we drifted from the very principles we were trying to teach. Health, family, presence, the things that actually matter. So we'd stop, refocus, and keep going. That struggle became part of the book itself.

Unsplode isn't just about health. It isn't just about wealth. It's about the intersection of the two.

Your financial future means very little if your health doesn't let you enjoy it. And your health journey gets a lot harder when your financial life is full of stress and no real plan. As an orthopedic surgeon, Caleb has spent years seeing people after something already went wrong. As a wealth manager, Trevor has spent years watching people reach retirement with money, but without the health, purpose, or time to use it. We wanted to offer a different path, a way to think proactively instead of reactively, and to stop postponing life.

Our hope is this book finds its way into the hands of first responders, firefighters, police officers, doctors, business owners, parents, and anyone who spends their life taking care of everyone else first. Because you can't pour from an empty cup.

We're incredibly excited, and genuinely grateful, to finally share UNSPLODE with you. Available soon on Amazon and additional outlets as they come online.

Here's to living with more clarity, more purpose, and a little less "explode."

The Oakley Rodeo has been a summer tradition for our team for as long as we can remember, and this year was no exception.

Between the dust, the rodeo announcer echoing through the arena, the kids racing around with coloring books in hand, and the crowd holding its breath during some unbelievable rides, it felt like everything that makes the Oakley Rodeo special was on full display.

We were lucky enough to hand out nearly 1,500 coloring books, meet a lot of incredible people, and spend a few days fully immersed in one of our favorite community traditions. We also witnessed a few moments that made us wonder if gravity had simply decided to take the weekend off.

What stands out most, though, isn't any single event. It's seeing families together, neighbors catching up, kids excited about their next coloring page, and thousands of people taking a break from everyday life to enjoy a great rodeo.

Year after year, the Oakley Rodeo reminds us why we love this community. We're grateful to be a small part of it and already looking forward to next year

One of the hardest parts of investing isn't dealing with what's happening today. It's trying to figure out what policymakers are going to do tomorrow.

Take this morning's jobs report. The U.S. added 57,000 jobs in June, which came in well below the 113,000 economists were expecting. At first glance, that sounds concerning. Then you notice the unemployment rate actually dipped to 4.2%.

So which is it? Is the economy weakening, or is the job market still holding up? The answer is probably somewhere in the middle. Hiring is clearly slowing, but we're not seeing signs that the labor market is falling apart.

The bigger question is how the Fed will interpret all of this.

Normally, weaker job growth would make you think interest rate cuts are more likely. But right now, inflation is still front and center. If inflation stays stubbornly high, the Fed may decide one soft jobs report isn't enough to change course. Some economists even think another rate hike is still on the table this year.

That's a good reminder that markets don't always react the way you'd expect. Good news can send stocks lower. Bad news can send them higher. One economic report almost never tells the whole story.

That's why I try not to get caught up in every headline. A disciplined investment strategy has a much bigger impact on long-term success than trying to guess what the Fed will do next.

What's on your mind right now? Are you paying more attention to inflation, the job market, or where interest rates are headed?

The Fed keeping rates steady at 3.5% to 3.75% might look like a whole lot of nothing on paper. But honestly? What they didn't do tells you everything you need to know.

A pause is basically the Fed pulling over to the side of the road because the visibility is terrible. Between Kevin Warsh stepping in as the new chair and those global energy spikes keeping inflation completely wild, there's just way too much fog right now to make a hard turn in either direction.

For anyone trying to manage a portfolio, this kind of limbo is exhausting. One day you're relieved they didn't hike again, the next you're stressed because nobody knows what comes next. When the headlines change every five minutes, it's so easy to panic-pivot or second-guess your entire strategy.

But these weird, quiet moments are exactly why we build long-term plans in the first place. It's not about guessing what the Fed will do next month—it's about building something sturdy enough that you don't have to care about every single press conference.

How are you all reading this pause? Does it feel like a welcome breather, or is the suspense driving you crazy? Let's talk in the comments.

SpaceX is about to go public at a ~$1.75 trillion valuation.

Here's the tension most people are missing:
They did about $18.7 billion in revenue last year.
That puts the IPO at roughly 90–100x sales.
For context:

Nvidia doesn't trade there
Apple never traded there
Amazon didn't sustain those levels either

So what are investors actually buying?
Not rockets.
Not launches.
Not even Starlink.
They're buying a future where SpaceX becomes:

The backbone of global internet
A dominant AI infrastructure play
And possibly something even bigger we can't model yet

Because on today's numbers, it doesn't pencil.
And that's what makes this so interesting.
The technology is real.
The growth is real.
The ex*****on is real.
But at this price, expectations are doing most of the heavy lifting.

The IPO hits June 12.
Lockups expire months later.
That's when the story meets reality.
So the real question isn't whether SpaceX is a great company.

It's this:
Are you investing in the business…
or the belief of what it might become?

Different conversations this week
But one consistent theme

Clarity
Emotional alignment
And long term direction

Each shows up in a different way

But they all point to the same idea

A plan is only as strong as the ability to stay with it

That is where confidence is built

A lot of effort in financial decision making is directed at the wrong things

Trying to control outcomes
Predict movements
Stay ahead of uncertainty

But most of those variables are not controllable

What is controllable

Is behavior
Direction
Consistency

Shifting focus there

Changes not just the experience

But the results over time
