Bonneville Real Estate Capital had a strong representation at the 2026 Utah Real Estate Luncheon. Led by Executive Chairman, Henry Schwendiman, Sam McConkie, and Spencer Ward were honorary members at the event, also attending along with them were Andrew Thomas, Brooke Farr, Christian Duffin, Dustin Jackson, Peter Andrews, and Shelby Freeman.
The Utah Real Estate Luncheon featured 3 groups from an initial pool of 14 groups. The finalists represented the University of Utah and Utah Valley University. Each group’s presentation was designed to feature a student housing element for a higher education institution in the state of Utah.
In addition to the participants and event sponsors, BREC would like to congratulate the winning group, Summit Point Partners, which featured 4 participants: Anthony Sanchez Ramos (Architecture & Design), Alexander Wagner (Architecture & Design), Nicolas Langue (U of U Real Estate Finance), Peter Gardner (U of U Real Estate Finance).
Summit Point Partners’ East Village Commons project proposal addressed the affordable housing need for contracted university employees by utilizing a university-administered stipend mechanism. The mechanism essentially uses a university-administered housing stipend funded from the University’s operating budget which lowers employees’ effective monthly housing cost without altering contract rents or requiring a capital investment from the University.
