🚨 Payment fraud moves fast. Is your business prepared to catch it? In our latest blog post, First Utah Bank President and CEO Amy Foulks explains how today’s payment fraud schemes work, why even savvy business owners can become targets, and the steps businesses can take to better protect their accounts.

Every check you write can reveal more information about your business than you might realize. And with unauthorized business ACH activity, the window to identify and return a fraudulent debit can be extremely short.

Learn how tools like Positive Pay, account alerts, ACH controls, and dual approval for wire transfers can help you identify suspicious activity before it becomes a costly loss—and why having a banker who actually knows your business can add another important layer of protection.

🔐 Don’t wait until fraud happens to start thinking about prevention. Read the latest First Utah Bank blog post to learn how to better protect your business.

Passwords can be guessed, stolen, or cracked. MFA adds another layer of protection by verifying that it’s really you trying to access your account.

When logging into First Utah Bank online banking, a One-Time Passcode (OTP) can be sent to your email to help verify your identity before granting access. It’s one extra step that can make it harder for someone else to access your accounts and assets.

And remember: First Utah Bank will never call you and ask for your password or One-Time Passcode. Never share verification codes with anyone who contacts you unexpectedly.

A few extra seconds can add an important layer of security.

The right bank should do more than hold your money — it should understand your business.

Before choosing a business banking partner, ask the questions that matter: Do they understand businesses like yours? Can you reach a real person when you need help? Who makes lending decisions? What tools are available to support your day-to-day operations? And most importantly, how can they help your business grow?

At First Utah Bank, local relationships, personalized service and a deep understanding of Utah businesses are at the heart of community banking.

Ask more from your bank. See what a true community banking partner can do for your business.

Term Loan or Line of Credit? Choosing the right financing can make a big difference.

Trusted First Utah Bank Loan Officer, Victoria, is here to break down the difference between a business term loan and a business line of credit—and when each one makes sense.

💼 Term Loans are ideal for larger, one-time investments and are repaid with scheduled principal and interest payments over the life of the loan.

🔄 Lines of Credit give businesses flexible access to funds for working capital, inventory, marketing expenses, and other day-to-day needs. Borrow what you need, pay it down, and borrow again as your business grows.

Whether you're expanding your business, managing cash flow, or planning your next investment, understanding your financing options is the first step toward making informed decisions.
