My good friend Joel Frost is running for Salt Lake County Assessor! He was one of my delegates when I ran for the legislature in 2016. He's also an appraiser and a realtor and knows property valuation! Make sure to give him your vote! Homes over 1m value aren't paying their fair share of property taxes. Here's his take on it! "Our property tax system in Utah doesn't make sense! I've done the research. If your property is worth less than $1,000,000 (the vast majority of SL County home-owners) the you are most likely paying too much in property taxes. My plan is to fix this unfairness for all."

Me waiting for the FED to lower rates today. Refinancing is hopefully back on the menu boys! And just like that right before the election, it's the "right time" to lower interest rates! The inflation is being caused in major part by monopolies dominating the economy with little competition or reasons to lower prices. Why aren't we trust busting and breaking up monopolies? Oh because everyone keeps voting for Dems and the GOP and they won't ever do that to their campaign contributors. I'd like to see some prices drop before we "release the hounds," but that ain't gonna happen in America. Send me your mortgage statement if you want to see what a refi looks like. And get ready to watch prices soar even higher. Angry emojis welcomed for anyone who feels like they're getting played. I've watched this game for 30 years and it's predictable as hell.

Did you know that your insurance goes up super fast and you have to rewrite new policies regularly or you're grossly overpaying? I just dropped my car insurance in half and I rewrote it two years ago!! That's how fast they are jacking up the premiums on you! It's time change your insurance company! Car insurance rates went up 21% in 2023 in the U.S. and 30% in Utah! But new policies are cheap! Home insurance too is skyrocketing.
