The design and structure of our Company is that each segment is related to the others, and contributes to the profitability of the whole. For example, our cemetery and mortuary operations enjoy a high level of public awareness that assists in the sales and marketing of our insurance and pre-need cemetery/funeral products. Security National Life Insurance Company in turn invests its assets in high quality mortgage loans. Thus, while each segment is a stand-alone profit center, this horizontal integration is planned to improve profitability. Our Company also actively pursues growth through acquisitions of life insurance companies and mortuaries, and by expanding our mortgage operations.

We're proud to share that our Chairman, President & CEO, Scott Quist, has received the Governor's Award from the National Alliance of Life Companies (NALC) — only the 9th time in the organization's 33-year history this honor has been given.

The award recognizes exemplary, long-time service to the NALC and the life insurance industry. Scott has been involved with the NALC for 40 years, and this honor carries extra meaning: his father, George Quist, received the same award back in 1999 — making them the only father-son pair to be recognized.

Congratulations, Scott — richly deserved! 👏
