Thank you to all the beautiful people who joined us for the backyard garden party.

What stood out to me most wasn't any single conversation, it was how many conversations were happening at once.

Women sharing experiences, asking questions, exchanging ideas, and connecting with people they may not have met otherwise.

We ran out of time before we ran out of things to talk about, which tells me we're creating something meaningful together.

If you met someone you'd like to stay connected with, our Facebook group is a great place to continue those conversations.

Thank you all for helping make the evening so special.

We’re only four days away from the backyard garden party.
One thing I’ve realized over the years is that people don’t just come to events like this for information.
They come because they want community.
They want people they can actually talk to about money, investing, goals, and the decisions they’re navigating.
At most events, those conversations start… but there’s not always enough time for them to go very far.
That’s really the intention behind this night.
A relaxed setting. No speaker. No agenda. Just time to connect and actually get to know each other.
Whether you’ve been investing for years or you’re just starting to think about it, you’re welcome here.
Food, drinks, good people, and meaningful conversation.

A lot of people come to Utah Women’s Investing Club for the information, but they stay because of the people.
Some of the women I consider friends now, I met through the investing club. Not during the presentation, but in the conversations before and after. Sitting a little longer, continuing a conversation, realizing we were thinking about similar things.
That doesn’t always happen at more structured events.
This night is meant to create more space for that.
A place to actually get to know people, not just meet them.
If you’ve been wanting more community around investing, this is a good place to start.
We’re keeping it small, and spots are starting to fill.

If you’ve been to one of our events before, you’ve probably felt this—
You start a really good conversation with someone…
And then the event ends.
This night is meant to give more space for that.
Just a backyard, good food, good people, and time to actually connect and talk through the things that matter.
Investing, decisions you’re navigating, or just getting to know people who are thinking about their future in a similar way.

Spots are already filling up, so I recommend to RSVP early.

Join us for a relaxed evening of connection, networking, and real conversations about money and investing.

This isn’t a workshop or a presentation.

It’s a chance to step away from the noise, meet other women who are thinking about their financial future, and have conversations that don’t usually happen in everyday life.

Backyard setting. Food, drinks, and good people.

No cost to attend.

This afternoon, Tracey walked through something I don’t think gets explained clearly very often:

How to think about different types of financial advisors, and what role they actually play.

She also talked about why women tend to see strong returns over time, which was interesting to hear laid out in a practical way.

We had the pleasure of having KSL there to write a story on how/why women have been so successful with investing.

One thing that seemed to land:

You don’t necessarily have to choose between doing everything yourself or handing everything off.

There’s a middle ground where you can still be very involved, but use a financial planner to build a solid plan and check big decisions.

Appreciate everyone who came and spent the afternoon with us and Maven Create for hosting.

Most of the time, what makes things feel unclear is having to sort through too much information alone.

Trying to decide:

“What actually applies to me?”
“Am I overthinking this?”
“Am I missing something?”

Those questions tend to feel a lot lighter when you can talk them through with someone.

That’s part of why, for this next event, we decided to offer a 2-for-1 option, as a way to make it easier to come with someone you trust.

A friend, a sister, a colleague…

someone you can sit next to and continue the conversation with afterward.

The topic we’re talking about is how to think through whether to manage your investments yourself… or get support.

We want to make this information accessible, so feel free to reach out if cost is an issue.

Do you find it easier to make financial decisions on your own, or by talking them through with someone first?

When I first started investing, one thing confused me more than anything else.

Everyone had a different opinion about what you should do.

“Manage everything yourself.”

“Always hire a professional.”

“Never trust advisors.”

“Never try to do it alone.”

It took me a while to realize that the real answer is more nuanced.

The right approach depends on your goals, your time, and how involved you want to be.

That’s the conversation we’re having at our next Utah Women’s Investing Club event.

How hands-on do you prefer to be with your finances?

I wanted to share about our next speaker, Tracey Dean. Tracey has been with us for a while as a speaker, attendee, and friend.

Tracey Dean helps women stop guessing and start investing with purpose. As a Certified Financial Planner™ and IRS Enrolled Agent, she brings more than 15 years of experience helping clients align smart investing with smart strategy, because what you keep matters just as much as what you earn.

Known for making complex topics actually make sense, Tracey translates the alphabet soup of investing into clear, practical steps women can confidently act on. Her signature frameworks The Tracey Method and DesignHER Wealth are built to help women build real wealth with confidence, not overwhelm.

A first-generation college graduate and fierce advocate for financial clarity, Tracey believes true financial planning should support health, wealth, and happiness creating real choice and flexibility in how people live and work. She partners with professionals, entrepreneurs, and families who are ready to be intentional and unapologetic about building wealth.

Based in Millcreek, Utah, Tracey shares life with her partner Sherri, their rescue husky Moxie, and her newest favorite title Grandma to her 2-year-old granddaughter, Steele. When she’s not talking markets, you’ll likely find her on the pickleball court or the golf course because portfolios matter, but so do good d***s and straight drives.

This afternoon was a reminder of how much strength there is in honest conversation.

Money is one of those topics many people carry quietly — trying to get it “right” on their own, without much room to ask questions or say what feels hard. When that pressure lifts, even a little, clarity has space to show up.

I’m grateful for the women who showed up willing to engage thoughtfully, listen to one another, and be open about where they are. That kind of support builds confidence that doesn’t come from having all the answers, but from knowing you’re not alone as you figure them out.

Thank you to everyone who was part of it.
