Meet Jenni, Market Source partner, and property expert, financial wizard, home investing strategist, rental management guru, and lover of her furbaby Goldie.

Rather than focusing on investment strategies or trying to predict the market, Jenni will share personal lessons she's learned about money, building for the future, and staying focused on her own path.

We'll talk about how comparison influences financial decisions, why defining your own version of success matters, and how small, consistent choices over time can have a bigger impact than chasing what everyone else seems to be doing.

This isn't a presentation from someone claiming to have all the answers. It's a chance to hear one person's experience, reflect on your own relationship with money, and hopefully leave feeling encouraged to save and invest in a way that aligns with your own goals and values.

We're offering 2-for-1 tickets because these conversations are easier when you have someone beside you.

It's easy to get overwhelmed with so much competing financial advice, and comparing ourselves to people who seem to have it all figured out.
I think a lot of women aren't looking for perfect financial plans.
They're looking for confidence.
They're looking for a way to make decisions without constantly second-guessing themselves.
Some of the things we're going to be talking about at our next event, The Psychology of Money: Finding Your Own Path is how comparison influences financial decisions, and why defining your own version of success matters.
What would feeling confident with money change for you?

I've been thinking about how much our childhood shapes the way we think about money.
I grew up with a lot of adversity, and money was always an issue in our household. But it wasn't something we really talked about. I remember feeling the stress around it without fully understanding what was happening.
Looking back, I can see how those experiences influenced the way I viewed money for years.
It makes me wonder how many of us are still making financial decisions through beliefs we picked up decades ago.
That's one of the reasons I'm excited for our next Utah Women's Investing Club event, The Psychology of Money: Finding Your Own Path. Before we can build confidence with money, it helps to understand the story we've been carrying and who we've been comparing ourselves to.
What's one lesson about money that stuck with you growing up?

I talk to a lot of women who feel like they're somehow behind financially.
Not because they haven't worked hard. Not because they aren't capable.
Usually it's because they think everyone else has figured money out and they haven't.
What if there isn't one right way to do money?
That's the conversation we're having at our next Utah Women's Investing Club event: The Psychology of Money: Finding Your Own Path.
Have you ever felt like you were "doing money wrong"?

In April at Utah Women's Investing Club, Peter Rosen from KSL joined us to hear Tracey Dean speak about how women invest.

A few days ago, KSL published a story on a topic that sparked a lot of conversation in the room:

Why do women often earn better investment returns than men?

The answer isn't that women have access to special information or are somehow better at predicting the market.

According to the research discussed in the article, women tend to trade less, do more research, take a longer-term view, and are less likely to let overconfidence drive decisions.

One of my favorite points from Tracey's presentation was that investing doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing choice between doing everything yourself and handing everything off to someone else.

You can learn. You can stay involved. You can ask questions.

And you can still seek guidance when you're making major financial decisions.

As Tracey put it, the most important thing is to have a plan and stick to it.

Thank you to Peter Rosen and KSL for highlighting this conversation and helping bring more attention to how women are approaching investing.

Thank you to all the beautiful people who joined us for the backyard garden party.

What stood out to me most wasn't any single conversation, it was how many conversations were happening at once.

Women sharing experiences, asking questions, exchanging ideas, and connecting with people they may not have met otherwise.

We ran out of time before we ran out of things to talk about, which tells me we're creating something meaningful together.

If you met someone you'd like to stay connected with, our Facebook group is a great place to continue those conversations.

Thank you all for helping make the evening so special.

We’re only four days away from the backyard garden party.
One thing I’ve realized over the years is that people don’t just come to events like this for information.
They come because they want community.
They want people they can actually talk to about money, investing, goals, and the decisions they’re navigating.
At most events, those conversations start… but there’s not always enough time for them to go very far.
That’s really the intention behind this night.
A relaxed setting. No speaker. No agenda. Just time to connect and actually get to know each other.
Whether you’ve been investing for years or you’re just starting to think about it, you’re welcome here.
Food, drinks, good people, and meaningful conversation.

A lot of people come to Utah Women’s Investing Club for the information, but they stay because of the people.
Some of the women I consider friends now, I met through the investing club. Not during the presentation, but in the conversations before and after. Sitting a little longer, continuing a conversation, realizing we were thinking about similar things.
That doesn’t always happen at more structured events.
This night is meant to create more space for that.
A place to actually get to know people, not just meet them.
If you’ve been wanting more community around investing, this is a good place to start.
We’re keeping it small, and spots are starting to fill.
