If you are uninsured when completing your taxes, check the box that states that you are uninsured on your Colorado tax return if you are interested in getting health insurance for 2026. This will open a special enrollment period and allow you to apply for low cost health insurance, Get assistance with your local health insurance guide at the Chaffee County Assistance Site.

2026 Health insurance Open Enrollment is here!
Shop before you re enroll in a plan for next year. Use the Estimate & explore tool formally known as the Quick Cost Plan finder tool.
▪️November 1: First Day to enroll in a Health Insurance plan that begins January 1st. Enroll by December 15th for coverage starting January 1st.
▪️Enroll between December 16th - January 15th for coverage starting February 1.
