What is a Public Adjuster?
A Public Adjuster works for the policyholder, not the insurance company. We help document, prepare, and negotiate your insurance claim to help make sure the loss is accurately evaluated under your policy.
When should I hire a Public Adjuster?
Many people contact a PA after a large loss, denied claim, underpayment, or when they feel overwhelmed by the process. The earlier we’re involved, the more we can usually help with documentation and claim strategy.
Do Public Adjusters work for the insurance company?
No. Insurance company adjusters work for the carrier. Public Adjusters work exclusively for the homeowner or business owner.
What types of claims do you help with?
We commonly assist with fire, water, storm, hail, wind, smoke, vandalism, and other property damage claims.
How are Public Adjusters paid?
Most Public Adjusters work on a contingency fee, meaning we are paid a percentage of the claim settlement. If we don’t recover additional money, we typically don’t get paid.
Can I still hire a Public Adjuster if my claim was already paid or denied?
Often, yes. Many claims can still be reviewed and reopened depending on the policy, timeline, and circumstances.
Will hiring a Public Adjuster slow down my claim?
Not necessarily. In many situations, having organized documentation and communication can actually help move the process forward more efficiently.
Do I have to accept the insurance company’s first estimate?
No. You have the right to ask questions, provide additional documentation, and dispute the scope or value of the loss if you believe it is incomplete.
