If you have damage from today's storm and need to file a claim, please call our office at 870-895-2551 or 870-895-6122. If your damage needs immediate attention, when it's safe have a professional make temporary repairs to prevent further damage. Take a lot of pics of the damage and document what you have done. Roofers and glass companies will be very busy, but obtain an estimate as soon as possible. Our office hours are 8-430 M-F. You can also call your company directly to file a claim. In alot of cases that is the fastest way to get a claim started and speak to an adjuster. Please call us if we can assist. Everyone please stay safe.

Cold weather is getting closer, before you crank up that wood heat, get prepared. Some tips:

Schedule inspections: Have a certified chimney sweep inspect your chimney at least once a year.

Clean regularly: Clean your chimney to remove creosote, ash, and soot buildup. This will also help your fireplace draw more efficiently.

Install a chimney cap: A chimney cap can help keep out water, debris, and animals. A stainless steel cap can help prevent rusting.

Burn the right wood: Use hardwood with a moisture content of less than 20%. This will help slow down the buildup of tar deposits.

Clean ashes: Clean ashes out of your fireplace at least once a month during the burning season. Leave about an inch of ashes at the bottom of the firebox.

Check the damper: Inspect the damper during your annual chimney cleaning. Keep the damper closed during nesting season to prevent birds from getting trapped or injured.

Install carbon monoxide detectors: Install carbon monoxide detectors near your fireplace and bedrooms.
