🚀 Big News for Your 2026 Retirement Plans! 🚀

The IRS announced new contribution limits for 2026 in November, and there's a lot to look forward to! Here's a quick breakdown:

🔹 401(k), 403(b), 457 Plans & TSP: Contribution limit increased to $24,500 (up from $23,500 in 2025). If you're 50 or older, you can contribute up to $32,500 annually!

🔹 IRA Contributions: Limit increased to $7,500. Catch-up contributions for those 50 and older are now $1,100.

🔹 Roth IRA & Saver’s Credit: Income phase-out ranges have increased, making it easier to qualify and maximize your savings.

🔹 SIMPLE Accounts: Contribution limit up to $17,000, with higher limits for certain accounts.

🔹 Medicare Part B: Monthly premiums will rise to $202.90, impacting how much of your Social Security COLA you'll see.

With most retirement accounts, once you reach age 73, you must begin taking required minimum distributions. Roth accounts are the exception. Withdrawal penalties may apply if you take the money before age 59½. Roth IRA distributions must meet a 5-year holding requirement and occur after the account holder reaches age 59½.

The final touches were made to the building this week. We added sconce lighting in-between the second story windows.

I want to thank everyone that have complimented the remodel. I really appreciate the positive feedback.

Here is a progression of my building over the last few months. I am still working on new signage and exterior lighting. I have lost count of the number of people that have gone out of their way to compliment the building. I have had compliments via text, phone calls, at the golf course and grocery store. I APPRECIATE EVERY SINGLE PERSON that complimented the improvements!...........But like any change, there have been a couple of people that are unhappy with the change. I want to make a couple of important points to the people that have voiced their disproval. Frist, no public funds were used. Everyone dollar was my own. No government grants or other public funds were used or even requested. Second, there was no reasonable or cost-effective way to replace the exterior with brick. The mason that repaired the bricks (that had already fallen!) said that the 150-year-old mortar was turning to sand and some of the bricks were disintegrating. Because of the multiple layers of paint, there was no way to tuckpoint and repair without completely removing all the brick. New brick require a new footer. There is no room along the city sidewalk. The old brick was unsafe. I did not want a "band-aid" fix. I chose an exterior that I felt looked good and would last 100 more years. I take great pride in helping make Salem's downtown look attractive and be a desirable place for locals and tourists to visit and do business.

The office building remodel is progressing. You will see some major changes today! The final exterior coat is being applied today and will include the final colors. There will still some finish work left after today: new signage, lights, and painting doors and trim. We are still open during the remodel. Call 812-883-8668 to schedule an appointment.

The Building Renovation is halfway complete. The upper brick layer has been repaired and restored. Windows have been wrapped and the roof has been replaced.

The next step is a completely new facade. Yes, I wish the entire building could have the brick replaced like the top section. Due to the mortar on remaining brick, it is not possible or feasible to replace the old brick. As a result, the entire building with be wrapped with an Exterior Insulation and Finish System. It will have a more modern "stucco" look. Yes, I would prefer the classic brick, but it cannot be done.

Progress is being made on the office building. The bricks have to be repaired before the new facade can be applied.
We are still open during construction.
