A federal court just put a temporary hold on parts of the new ACA rule that were set to start this week.

Here’s what that means for you:

Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan premiums can change each year. This doesn’t always mean your coverage has changed—it often reflects updates from the insurance company.

Factors that may affect premiums include:
✅ Rising healthcare costs
✅ Changes in Medicare deductibles and copays
✅ The age and health needs of the plan’s members

Tip: You may have options to review or change your Medigap plan during certain times of the year. In Oregon, for example, the “Birthday Rule” allows you to change to another plan of equal or lesser benefits around your birthday without health questions.
