5/12/2022- little did we know this would be the first of 2 derechos that hit our area hard! An anniversary we don’t like to dwell on but we do like use it as a reminder how important it is to review your insurance at least once a year. As we get going with harvest a couple of tips:
-make sure your combine and head are insured
-do you have coverage to rent a combine while you find a new one?
-having water tanks, fire extinguishers and a disc readily available can potentially minimize loss

Very large hail (2 inch or larger) and damaging winds up to 70 mph are the primary threats in any severe storm later today. However, a few tornadoes are also possible. The main risk window will be from 2 pm to 7 pm, however a few strong to severe storms may linger through 9 pm.
