🌊 Important flood insurance update: The NFIP may have a temporary shutdown at the end of January if Congress doesn’t act. That can impact how flood policies are renewed, issued, or updated, so now is the time to act!

Governor Ron DeSantis says Floridians are beginning to see lower auto and homeowners insurance rates as recent reforms take effect — with more relief on the way 📉

🌅 Sunrise St. Pete Disaster Recovery Assistance

If you were impacted by Hurricanes Helene or Milton, the City of St. Petersburg has opened Sunrise St. Pete, a disaster recovery program offering financial assistance for repairs, rebuilding, elevation, and eligible reimbursements.

Applications are now open. Even if repairs are already complete, you may still qualify.

📢 The National Flood Insurance Program Has Been Reauthorized! 🌊🏠

Good news — the NFIP is officially reauthorized through January 30, 2026, following the continuing resolution signed late on November 12. After the brief lapse, processing has restarted, but expect a short adjustment period while FEMA issues updated guidance.

Here’s what policyholders should know right now:
• ⏳ There is a backlog from the lapse, and teams are working through it quickly.
• 🆕 New policies are processing normally again.
• 📝 Policies sent to underwriting during the lapse will remain in queue and require manual issuance.
• 🔄 Renewals and expirations are being released in order, starting with delayed notices.

Flood risk doesn’t wait — and neither do we. Our team is here to help as the system gets fully back to normal.

On Nov. 12, Congress passed a short-term continuing resolution to reopen the government after the longest shutdown in history. The resolution, which President Trump signed late that evening, funds the government through Jan. 30, 2026.
