I always teach my mentees to look for the value in a company, and don’t look at the price.
The price is the last thing you care about when investing, you could pay 10$ for a worthless company or you could pay 1000$ and get a value of 2000$.
Price doesn’t matter when you invest, you need to look for the value you’re getting.

Knowing the business you’re investing in it’s vital to be sure you’re making a good investment, if you don’t know how the business works, how the company makes money, the strengths and weaknesses etc, you will never make a conscious decision. Investor is the one that understands the business, looks at the numbers, weights them and only after they decide if the price is fair, high or an interesting one.
If you don’t do this, you’re not an investor you’re just a gambler and I wish you luck because you’ll need it.
