My entire life I've positioned myself within organizations where taking care of the needs of others, has brought me the most joy and fulfillment. I've spent 20+ years working for others while figuring out a way to put my knowledge and expertise to use in benefitting women owned businesses. In researching the different reasons why businesses fail, I found that the amount of women owned businesses

that fail to thrive while their male counterparts excel had to do a lot with initial underfunding and the fact that as women, we tend to take on the notion that we can do it all. I realize that we tend to be multi-tasking specialists by our mere nature alone however in business it can be our demise. Locating the right network of women leaders that are capable of supporting one another in the many facets of our businesses can be daunting but very much needed especially when it comes to the financial health of our businesses and positioning for strategic growth. Let’s face it, no one goes into business to have the business own them. Who wants to place the bulk of their energy in the finances & bookkeeping end of it when the focus should be on providing an above average experience for each client & continue building clients or books of business to achieve the level of success desired. I've often thought of the heroes in my head and how they have influenced me over the years.

Who are my heroes? Definitely my children. 🤗
The absolutely shaped my approach to life as a whole.

They challenged me to always be stay focused on what's most important in life. They taught me a level of accepting, giving, love, patience, and understanding that could've only been learned through the blessing of raising them. 😇

💭 While they are all grown up and no longer living at home, they are a constant reminder that if we are open to new ideas and goals, the sacrifices we make to accomplish our goals are rewarded in every facet of our lives. 🔥

What made you start your business?

My inspiration came from wanting to be of service to fellow women in business and finding a way to take my knowledge and expertise to relieve some of the burden.

I have learned through my own past failures that if I didn't have the right network of professionals in my corner, I couldn't sustain long term and scale my business enough to truly succeed. 🤝🏼

I love being able to bring a sense of calm when someone is feeling overwhelmed by their business.
If you up to your eyebrows in the day-to-day operations or not sure when in your day, week or month you hit your break even mark, how then do you have the energy and time grow your business? 🤷

Hard to believe that 5 years ago, I was working in a full time job where I absolutely loved what I was doing but hated the negative and chaotic atmosphere.

I felt like everything in my life was falling apart, and completely dreaded going into the office everyday and enduring more of the negativity.

I knew that if I didn’t make a change soon , I would've had to compromise who I was as a person.

🔥 So, I began changing my perspective and realized that it wasn't a long term situation and that I had the power to pivot and create something better for myself and my family. 🔥

Now I work for my own company and get to help Women Small Businesses owners focus on achieving their financial goals. I get to choose the clients I want to work with, the hours and days I work and where I focus my time. I get to spend time with family when it's convenient for us, not when it's convenient for my employer. 😄

I can’t wait to see how 2021 turns out.

⛅ What would you do If money weren’t an issue?

It’d bring out my inner Santa.🤶

I think I'm usually an an empathetic person but I would take some time to sit with some single moms and veterans in my community. I'd like to learn what their current issues are and how I might be able to relieve some of their burdens, both financially and emotionally.

I’d love to pay some kid’s college tuition, a sick person’s medical bills or maybe pay someone's rent for a year or buy groceries for needy families.

The last few months have been a learning experience for me.

I’ve struggled with my mindset, focus and self doubt that has come with this Covid-19.

It took a lot for me to share this with you because I don't want to be judged, but I know I can’t be alone in my recent experiences and lets face it, when we too much time with our thoughts, they tend to get louder.

I’ve found some things that have really helped me with these things I’ve been struggling with and figured I would let you know what they are!

1-My mindset has improved since I started incorporating a 15 minute mediation every morning. It gives me a renewed kind of energy to start my day. I also found a pod cast that I LOVE :) It's "My Daily Mindset" Podcast with Casey Moran.
2- "The One Thing" by Gary Keller & Jay Papasan, has been a complete game changer in my environment truly made me hyper aware of where I need to focus on and although that changes daily, It's been the best thing I could've gotten my hands on.
3- I make it business to remind myself daily that I am enough, I'm perfectly imperfect and exactly how I should be. I take time for self care and am grateful for those in my life.

My goal is to focus on my mindset, focus on what I want or need to accomplish each day and overcome the feeling of self doubt and with consistently applying these into my life daily, I believe it’s possible everyday, to be a better version of myself than the ay before.
