Fall can bring great things like cooler weather and bonfires but it can also bring additional hazards to the road.🚗

Roads are wet and covered in leaves and debris from windy days. Give yourself plenty of room to stop, leave a safe distance between you and the car in front of you and make sure that your tires and brakes are in good repair. Welcome to Fall!🍂🍁

Fall is officially here!🍂

Even though the weather is warm now, it will begin to cool and I want to make sure your home is ready for the seasonal change! Check out some tips below so you can enjoy this great time of year rather than worrying about a leaky roof.

1. Check to make sure your windows and doors aren't producing leaks and drafts.

2. Purchase a programmable thermostat if you don't already have one. Setting your thermostat to lower the temperature automatically at night and when you're not home can really help you save a TON on utility bills.

3. Trim those overgrown trees! Trees continue to grow and grow all summer long and by fall, they might be too close to powerlines or your roof. Make sure to trim those back so neither your powerlines nor roof gets damaged.

4. Fertilize your lawn. Applying lawn fertilizer will help prevent winter damage and spring weeds.
