Before the weather turns, it's worth doing a quick walk around the house and car: check the roof and gutters for anything loose, test the furnace before you actually need it, and make sure your tires have enough tread for wet leaves and early frost. None of it takes long, and it's a lot cheaper than dealing with a claim later. If you're not sure whether your homeowners or auto policy covers something specific, just ask, that's what we're here for.
