It's a Credit Union Thing is popping up all over Minnesota, from YouTube to neighborhood coffee shops, pizza boxes, sidewalk chalk art, broadcast radio, podcasts, and beyond. (Yup, we’re at the State Fair, too, so pop over to the myTalk 107.1 - Minneapolis/St. Paul booth Saturday and get some useful schwag!)

When you spot or hear the campaign, snap a photo or screenshot and share it, and tag us! Every share earns you one entry to win two tickets to see the Minnesota Vikings take on the Indianapolis Colts at home on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at noon.

(We get it’s not a super compelling photo to share a screenshot of your streaming app if you hear us, but we’d still love to know where you’re finding us, and it still counts as an entry.)

Congratulations to Ideal Credit Union Credit Union on a century of serving members and strengthening communities across Minnesota.

Founded in 1926 as St. Paul Postal Employees Credit Union, Ideal began during the early days of Minnesota’s credit union movement, built on cooperation … people pooling their resources to help one another build stronger financial futures.

A lot has changed since 1926. Those first savings passbooks became apps. Checks gave way to digital payments. And we’re pretty sure nobody at that first credit union meeting was talking about mobile deposits.

But the heart of the credit union movement hasn’t changed.

For 100 years, Ideal Credit Union has grown alongside its members while staying rooted in the cooperative principles that started it all.

Eight Minnesota credit unions teamed up for a community workshop to equip people with practical tools and know-how to protect themselves from fraud. Thanks to Affinity Plus FCU, City & County CU, Expedition CU, MY CU, Ideal CU, Royal CU, Novation CU and Wings CU for bringing this vital information directly to Minnesotans.

Minnesotans got a chance Thursday to learn about scammers during a free fraud-prevention event at the Shoreview Community Center.

Want to keep your private info safe from scammers? Join us Aug. 20, 4–7 pm at Shoreview Community Center for the Credit Unions Fighting Fraud seminar. Local credit unions and public safety experts will explain scam warning signs and how to protect you and your information.

Shred N Go and Minnesota Tech for Success will be on site to shred documents and recycle small electronics (laptops, desktops, tablets, phones, and accessories).
