This long weekend, we take pause.

We remember the brave union brothers and sisters and all service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country and for the freedoms we enjoy today.

From all of us at IBEW Local 110, we remember and honor the fallen.

Today we remember every worker who was killed, injured, or made sick on the job.

We honor them by refusing to accept that this is...
“just part of the job.”

Safety isn’t optional. It’s the standard.
Fight for it. Demand it.

We had another group of members sworn in this week.

That’s life-changing work.

For many, it’s the first time having full family healthcare. The first time getting an education that’s actually free... while earning a paycheck. It’s a real path toward a life that rewards you now and gives you dignity when you retire.

That’s what this is about.

Real careers, providing for real families!

Welcome and cheers to a fulfilling career.

We had a record number of Electricians from around the state take time off work to be at the Capitol— Making the Middle Class voice heard!

This Year We fought for:
1. A 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚: that protects both workers and the public

2. 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨: because just 1 project can put 500+ electricians to work and generate millions in tax revenue for our communities

3. 𝘼 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙡: helping ensure our tax dollars go back into Minnesota infrastructure

This is why it is Better In a Union...
Because when union members show up, we move policy, we create jobs, and we build a stronger Minnesota for the next generation.

Multiple Pensions
Whole Family Medical
And enough 𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐃 vacation time to fly to Aruba, Key West, and get all your ice fishing done next winter!

Because it turns out Coach was right about 1 thing... working together does achieve more, and well 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬!

Breanna is one of our many rising stars here at Local 110!
She shows up ready to work, has a good attitude, willing to learn, and understands the importance of working hard.

She is a great example of what our future electrical industry should look like, and we are glad NEI Electric values her outstanding work ethic just as much as the nearly Million IBEW Members do!

𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤

Women in our trade, especially in our local are foremen, instructors, union officers, and leaders. They run work, help set the pace, and hold the line on quality and safety.

They didn’t ask for a seat.
They built it.
And they’re still building.

𝐃𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭

Google’s new data center in Pine Island shows what responsible development looks like in Minnesota:

Renewable Energy!
Nearly 2,000 MW of new wind, solar, and battery storage added to the grid. Google is paying for it — including upgrades — so ratepayers aren’t on the hook.

Saving OUR Water!
Advanced closed-loop / air-cooled systems that dramatically reduce water use compared to traditional facilities.

Taxes that BOOST our Economy!
Sales tax on electricity.
Long-term property tax base.
Hundreds of Skilled construction jobs
Dozens of permanent high paying positions.
Major private investment in southern Minnesota.

This is what “Data Centers Done Right” looks like:
Clean energy. Responsible water use. Real economic growth.

Let’s lead — not fall behind.

What Investments do you want to see in Minnesota?

The 2026 Bonding Bill is up for a vote this year... that is a bill investing in Minnesota infrastructure, water systems, public buildings, transportation, housing, and public safety projects across our state.

For IBEW members, this means real jobs, real man-hours, and real opportunities on projects that keep our skills working and our benefits funded. When bonding passes, our members go to work.

But it takes a 60% bipartisan vote to get it done.

If you want to see these projects move forward, now is the time to speak up. Contact your state representative and senator and tell them to support a strong bonding bill that invests in Minnesota infrastructure and union labor.

Across our state there are roads, bridges, and public buildings in need of upgrades and repair. We also have highly skilled union tradespeople ready to do the work and spend their union wages in communities throughout our state. Minnesota has one of the highest credit ratings in the nation and that....
